Watching the clouds in the garden

"Watching the clouds in the garden". In this work I use raw sheep wool and horse hair in light and dark shades, materials I grateful received from a neighbor in Maceira during my art residency at RAMA. The weft yarn is repurposed from a previous sculpture exhibited at A BASE in Lisbon, with red wool yarn I happily recieved from the organizer, left by a former artist. The weaving begins detailed and tight, gradually becoming wide and fluffy. Initially, handspun threads are used, transitioning to free use of sheep wool and horse hair, symbolizing a journey from structure to freedom.
