The Scarpette Collection - Sculptures of my Scarpette Project Development
This limited-edition collection is thoughtfully designed and crafted by me, an artist and fashion designer. Each piece is a unique creation, deeply inspired by my ongoing Scarpette art project. Rooted in the spirit of Arte Povera and the work of Italian artist Marisa Merz, Scarpette takes inspiration from Merz's exploration of raw materials and organic forms. The journey begins with the "magic circle," a symbolic shape that forms the foundation of my crocheting technique, which is central to the Scarpette concept.
The copper pieces in this collection reflect the planned final form of Scarpette, drawing from the raw elegance of copper wire to bridge the art and its wearable interpretation. Every piece, from delicate crocheted yarn to structured copper hangars, creates an intentional balance between lightness and resilience, subtlety and presence.
